Snowball Fights DVG wtf?
In DVG, I've had 7 consecutive losses because there is such an overflow of noobs. A bad luck streak can waste an hour in DVG and getting CCS and gamer pts is taking forever. I'm not just complaining about my frustration in DVG, i've had at least 5 ppl pm me agreeing as i lost my temper and started shouting in all chat "WHY ARE THERE SO MANY NUBS HERE IT'S IMPOSSIBLE TO GET CCS" (can't control your frustration all the time =] Anyways, I don't want to start a flaming thread against me or anet, I would just like to propose a dwayna vs grenth snowball fight TA version, so that we could snowball fight with our guildies and friends. Snowball fights can be seen as a serious field to gain gamer pts and CCS or as a different aspect of the GW game, but either way it would be more convenient and a more enjoyable "mini game", if i can call it, if there was a version where you could team up with ppl of your choosing.

I played in quite a few "noob" teams as I snowballed. I just give them suggestions on how to play better and enjoy myself. It is a game afterall.
If you are that frustrated perhaps you should go farm ccs from critters someplace. Or if you enjoy snowballing that much, try to play at different times of the day; there are different types of players depending on what time you play.
I, personally wouldn't want to see a TA snowball fight. PvP tends to be a little too elitist for my taste (not all players are that way but enough of them are) and prefer the randomization method to water that down a bit.
Overall, lets just have fun and help people learn to play better.

I've had allot of noob teams so far . . I think I've won 4/15-20 < some where around there because of leavers, leachers, and people who generaly don't know what they are doing even though I explained it before the fight . .

If there are so many poor players, they will be on both sides. Due to the fact the strong teams stay in, the chance of getting a good team when joining is meagre. When it does happen, you'll typically get 20+ consec.

Wait it out for a good team and go on a streak, or don't bother. I've done the former and have 600+ gamer points already.

I'm not worried about shards or points. It'd be nice to start from a place without so many people screaming about noobs. And I think I might just enjoy a snowball fight where no one rage quits.
Hey ANet, how about adding shards and points to the regular RA matches, too, for the duration of Wintersday? That way, the shard/point/title-happy pro gamers could get what they're after far away from the troublesome Wintersday fun-seekers. Maybe then the snowball fights could get back to the just-for-fun silliness they're meant to be.
Luny
On a slightly more serious note, I wonder if some of the problem might be how much faster they start now. I remember being given a longer countdown before matches started last year. It gave you more time to read the skill descriptions and/or chat a bit with your team. Those chats were often helpful to people new to the game.

I've been in teams with several players who had no clue what to do.
Yes, they were all W/Mo.
One even brought his present to the wrong avatar, and when he died with a different present, he began spamming chat with profanities because we didn't help him.
Ah, holidays.

What's the one thing common in your seven consecutive losses? YOU! Think about that for a bit.

LOL, but that's being a bit harsh for a streak of bad luck. I'm sure you're not getting seven consecutive losses or every win rite? Just chill and laugh at the nubs.

This is a festive time, a time for enjoyment and FUN. If you can't handle the jandal then stop playing in snowball arenas. And stop calling people noobs, its not nice.
Happy Wintersday everyone.

As I said before I didn't want to start a flaming thread; my idea of a noob team isn't a team that doesn't know what to do, it's a team that's unwilling to listen and learn and is so narrow minded to the fact that the rest of the team is blamed for not backing up and stuff like that. The point that snowball fights are for fun is just repeating what i said: the "mini game" can be viewed differently of it's importance and value, and i would like to say it's not fun losing consecutively so many times that logging off becomes the most viable choice. The kleenex box was funny but not helpful, I'm suggestingr a TA version of snowball fights, i made my statement, no more flaming pls.

Judging by the general quality of conversation that's going on in DvsG I'm tempted to assume that the whole RA d1 has moved there. So getting the smelly end of stick in teaming is more of a rule than exception.

Like said before, its not meant to be really all that serious. Just a bit of light hearted fun. What annoys me more is the people who are like 'OMFG NOOBS!!1!!', I mean, the noobs have gotta learn some way, don't they? >_>

Yes, but to learn you need to listen to advice and directions of more exp players. I suppose now the topic has become more of 'how to be a decent player in all aspects of GW' Listen. Observe. Learn.

But when you get in a good team and go and a winning streak it feels all the better for having had to suffer through the bad ones.
I know it has been said before in the thread but, really, it IS just for a laugh. I understand what you mean but I doubt they are going to make any changes. If it's winding you up then perhaps you'll enjoy wintersday more doing other things.
